KARUKINKA Natural Park – WCS Chile

KARUKINKA Natural Park – WCS Chile

In times past the lands of the park were inhabited for the Selk’nam people, who called the region Karukinka, which meant in their language “Our Land”. The place served as scenery for an important chapter of the book “21 Days at The End of The World”. It is a private natural park managed by WCS – Wildlife Conservation Society, which is the owner and promotes within the park a new model for conservation of the rare biodiversity prevailing in that region.

NOTE: Thank you a lot to Karukinka Natural Park for the amazing picture.
