NOTE: This page was created in the year 2016, originally in portuguese, and translated to english in 2019.
Born in the hinterland of Bahia (Brazil), in the Village of Serrote – Conceição do Coité, since she was very young she dreamed of having books to create a library for her and for other children in her community. This wish was also inspired for the reason that her grandmother could not learn how to write and to read due to economic reasons because she needed to work to help her family since very young.
At age 12, with the help of her grandfather, Maria Clara founded her Library, small in size but immense in love and nobility.
Nowadays Maria Clara dreams of being able to reform and enlarge her dream, or rather saying: her Library.
Those who wish to help her with books, building material or with other kind of material, can contact her through her page.

For me, it is a huge honor to have my books in this very special Library.
